Metabolic Analysis · Praxis Dr. Romanos
Your metabolism.
Read from the lab.
Lab-based metabolic analysis in Zurich — blood values, insulin resistance and hormones assessed by a physician, with an individual nutrition strategy built from your actual results.
Why analyse?
Nutrition advice is only as good as the diagnostics behind it.
General nutrition tips affect everyone differently — because every metabolism is different. Only lab values show what your body actually needs.
Fatigue & energy dips
Constant exhaustion, slumps after meals — often a metabolic or nutrient cause is behind it.
Weight won't hold
Diets work briefly, then everything returns. Without looking at insulin and hormones the cause stays hidden.
Cravings & sugar hunger
Unstable blood sugar drives cravings — measurable via fasting insulin and HbA1c.
«Borderline» values
Prediabetes, raised blood lipids, belly fat — early signs that make a targeted change worthwhile.
How it works
Four steps. Values become a plan.
Blood analysis
Targeted lab values instead of a blanket panel: glucose metabolism, hormones, nutrients, inflammation.
Physician interpretation
Your values are read by a doctor — in the context of your history, not by template.
Nutrition strategy
Concrete, individual recommendations from your values — as a written report to take home.
Follow-up
Measure, don't guess: control of the key parameters and adjustment over time.
For whom
When a metabolic analysis makes sense.
Fatigue & energy
Persistent exhaustion without a clear cause — thyroid, iron, vitamin D, blood sugar assessed in a targeted way.
Insulin resistance & prediabetes
Belly fat, cravings, borderline sugar — detect insulin resistance early, before diabetes develops.
Nutrition change with a plan
You want to change how you eat — but properly. Based on your values, not on a diet trend.
Performance & sport
No progress despite training? Check nutrients, hormones and metabolism as limiting factors.
Hormonal change
Menopause, cycle, thyroid — hormonal shifts that influence weight and energy.
Weight & the GLP-1 question
Looking for lasting weight loss or a possible medication-based therapy? That runs through our weight programme.
Diagnostics
What we measure — targeted, not routine.
Glucose & insulin
HbA1c, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR — capture insulin resistance and blood sugar control objectively.
Hormones
Thyroid, cortisol, sex hormones — hormonal factors that steer metabolism and weight.
Blood lipids
ApoB, Lp(a), triglycerides, HDL/LDL — cardiovascular risk and fat metabolism in context.
Nutrients & inflammation
Ferritin, vitamin D, B12, hsCRP — deficiencies and silent inflammation driving fatigue and stagnation.
Comparison
Ordinary nutrition advice vs. metabolic analysis by a doctor.
Process
Clarity in three appointments.
History & blood draw
Detailed conversation about symptoms, history and goals. Targeted blood draw — only the clinically relevant values.
Results review
Physician interpretation of your values and your individual written metabolic and nutrition report — concrete and clear.
Follow-up
After an agreed period, control of the key values and adjustment of the strategy — measured, not guessed.
Our stance
No nutrition trend.
Your values.
A metabolic analysis is only as good as the doctor who knows your whole story. We don't classify anyone by template — we read your values in the context of your life.
We don't sell blanket supplements or off-the-shelf diet plans. What you receive is a physician-led interpretation and a strategy that fits you.
If your values are unremarkable, we say so honestly — and advise what makes sense instead.
Lab-based
Recommendations from real values — not from questionnaires.
Personal
Analysis and review by the physician personally.
Written report
Your values, their meaning and your strategy — to take home.
Honest
Unremarkable values are named as such.
Expectations
What this is not.
This is not a «metabolic type» analysis and not blanket diet coaching. We don't sort anyone into fat, carbohydrate or mixed types — such classifications are not scientifically supported.
We don't sell blanket supplements or off-the-shelf nutrition plans.
What we offer: a lab-based, physician-interpreted analysis of your metabolism — and an individual strategy grounded in your values and your history.
Pricing
What it costs — all-inclusive.
One clear price for everything: analysis, all lab values, physician review, written report and follow-up. No hidden costs.
Basic
all-inclusive · 3 × 20 min
Plus

A pure preventive analysis without suspicion of illness is a self-pay service. If there is a medical indication, part may be billed through basic insurance (KVG); many supplementary insurances contribute to preventive check-ups — ask us, we'll gladly check for you.
FAQ
Good to know.
What is a metabolic analysis?
A physician-led blood assessment of glucose metabolism, insulin, hormones and nutrients — combined with an individual nutrition and metabolic strategy based on your actual values.
Is this ordinary nutrition counselling?
No. Ordinary counselling works with general recommendations. We start with lab analysis and derive an individual, physician-led strategy — in the context of your history.
How much does it cost?
Two packages, each all-inclusive (analysis, all lab values, review, report, follow-up): Basic CHF 550 and Plus CHF 790 (extended panel, 2 follow-ups). As pure prevention these are self-pay; if there is a medical indication part may run through basic insurance (KVG), and many supplementary insurances contribute to preventive check-ups.
How long until results?
After the blood draw, results are usually available in 5–10 business days. A physician review with your concrete plan follows.
Do you also offer weight-loss injections?
For lasting weight loss or GLP-1-based therapy, that runs through our medically supervised weight programme. We provide medication only when medically indicated — not on request.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book online directly. Existing lab values are welcome — bring them along.
Numbers instead of guesswork.
A metabolic analysis in Zurich shows what your body really needs — turning nutrition advice into an individual, physician-led strategy.
